Markinch Heritage Group

Interested in local History and Heritage?

Markinch Parish once stretched from the modern town of Glenrothes to the lost village of Innerleven. The history of this stretch of land is only partially written and there are many mysteries and historical puzzles to unravel. If you are interested in revealing the past or in preserving it for the future this could be the organisation for you. Annual membership (October to October) is currently only £10.

Please look around our site and contact us using the Contact page if you wish further information or to join. Alternatively, non members can attend any of our public meetings. See our Diary page for details.

Appeal - Sponsor a Cut

We need to raise at least £300 in 2015 to help us maintain the very popular Braes Loan Trail historical walk.

Apart from history our aim is to promote health and well-being and help boost the local economy by attracting people to the town.

General donations also greatly appreciated!
